My Blog Has Moved
Well, this is it. I’ve finally made the jump from Wordpress.com, and I’ve set up my own self-hosted blog.
The new home of Gareth’s Blog is here at garethsblog.com.
Please update any bookmarks and feeds that you may have.
My blog is hosted by Hostmonster.com, who were extremely good value. I originally bought the hosting package for my new company website (which is still under construction) but added Gareth’s Blog as an addon domain.
Gareth’s Blog will still be based on the Wordpress blogging platform, but being self-hosted it means I have more freedom to do what I want with it. As I get my head around everything I’m sure that the site will evolve and develop. It’ll be quite exciting.

I will carry on posting on Wordpress.com for a little while until readers get used to the new address.

Liam is doing great, he’s smiling which is fantastic to see. He’s really piling on the weight, so there’s no issues on that score.
How’s little Shawnee doing? And how are you coping with the change to fatherhood
That is great to hear! Shawnee is mucho fun! She is also piling on the weight. Started at 6.2 at birth and now 7.6, so spot on what she should be on a week by week scale. She is just starting to make the smiling faces, but hard to work out between the wind and the smiles! I am loving the fatherhood side of things. Of course, if I ever stop staring in awe at her, I might manage to take more of it in. But nope…if she is asleep, I just stare at her and if she is awake, we spend the whole time playing!
@Sy: Last time he was weighed (about 2 weeks ago) he weighed 10lb 15oz, he was 7lb 6oz, so he’s putting it on consistently. He’s only waking once in the night now, which is better, just need him to get a couple more hours and he’ll be sleeping right through.
I see she’s already got you where she wants you, wrapped around her little finger – I know the signs, it must be a father-daughter thing.
10lb! Wow!! She is a loooong way away from that one! Although she was pretty small when she was born. Sleep is much the same for us. A feed at 11pm, again at about 2-3ish and then thats it until 8 or 9.
Yup, you are seeing the correct signs. She is very much preparing that little finger for me to be wrapped around! But hey…you know it well. it is a great feeling having that bond!
