I thought that it was about time that I gave you all an update on what’s been happening lately.

The first bit of news is that our daughter, Ellie, has been accepted into her first choice of  school. This is good for her as most the friends that she has made at nursery are going to the same school. It will make the settling-in process a lot easier. At this moment she is very excited about going to “big school.”

Last week Ellie passed two exams in dancing. One was in Ballet, and the other was in Disco. She had great delight in showing me her certificates and her medals. The certificates now have pride of place on the wall in her bedroom.

Well Done Ellie, I’m very proud of you!

Now for Liam. He is turning into a very mischievous little boy. He is getting around a lot easier in his baby-walker and that means that he is getting into everything, as I have previously mentioned. There’s no stopping him now.

His favourite thing at the moment is laughing at me when I am changing his nappy.

A couple of weeks  ago I was changing his nappy and he did what all babies do from time to time – weeing all over the floor just after I’d taken his nappy off. He started laughing at me in that cheeky, mischeivous way that only babies can get away with. It was as if he planned the whole incident!

From that moment on, he starts giggling at me every time I try to change him. I get the impression that he is winding me up and he knows exactly what he’s doing.
